Thank You Notes
It’s Power Move Monday time. And today I put on my old school hat and talk about thank you notes. Thank you emails are ok but there’s nothing like a good old fashioned card that you hand write.
First, it shows that you took some additional effort and time to think about someone who spent some time or effort on you.
Second, in a world lacking formality, a nice note goes along way. I’ve been known to tape a ty note to my bulletin board and reread it once in a while. Thank you emails quickly get deleted. They don’t get archived.
There’s really no excuse. I have purchased a pack of 5 for $1 at the craft store. We barely send anything over the mail so buying 1 stamp is not a big expense. And not having time is no excuse at all. As a matter of fact it probably takes less time to hand write a note. You don’t have to turn on a computer and wait for it to boot up to then open your gmail or outlook.
That’s your #powermovemonday #solutionsnotresolutions You got this!
